Snoozer Lookout Small Dog Car Seat Review, plus 12-year update!

This is our original review from 2012 with an update as of today, March 13, 2024, of the Snoozer Lookout Car Seat originally purchased on Amazon and linked with our affiliate link as well. 

One of the unique challenges small dog owners face is, how to provide a cozy and safe place for our little buddies to hit the road with us. We have found the answer with this Snoozer Dog Car Booster Seat. The comfortable foam seat features a removable cover available in a variety of colors, so you are sure to find the perfect pattern to match your (and your pet's) personality. The washable cover also features a simulated lamb's wool interior for added comfort.

The seat is a snap to install (and uninstall) ~ it's as simple as fastening your car's seat belt across the top of the Snoozer! The included connection strap joins your dog's harness to the car's seat belt. The Snoozer situates your dog right at window level allowing him/her a seat with a view! This can greatly reduce car sickness too.

I especially like that the whole seat is soft, no sharp or hard edges. As a matter of fact, it's a solid piece of molded, heavy-duty foam and I believe that makes the ride smoother for Sam too. It kind of absorbs the bumps from the road like a shock absorber. If your dog is like our Sam, who gets scared easily, this is another big plus! It gives him such a smooth and comfortable ride. 

After using this seat continuously for the past 3 weeks, we declare the Snoozer Lookout Car Seat "The Best Car Seat For Small Dogs"!  

Update: Original review written in 2012, we are still using this seat and it is still in great shape, just a little faded.  Granted Sammy is not hard on the seat at all, no chewing on it or any messes, but still very impressive! It is left in the car at all times, so it has withstood our harsh Florida sun too!

*This review is based on use by a 10-pound Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix.  The small seat would probably comfortably fit up to a 15-pound dog, depending on the dog.  Please see ad details for more sizing information.
